Hood movies

So I've been watching a bunch of movies and listening to rap a lot now.
So here's some.

Great movie, has Tupac Shakur in it.
I'm pretty sure the English movie Kidulthood has many things based on it.
It's basically about several young boys growing up in the hood getting pushed around by everyone until they do something about it, they rob a corner store and everything begins going down from there.

Boyz In The Hood
Another great movie, stars Ice Cube
About a group of friends growing up in a Los Angeles ghetto.

Menace II Society
A young street hustler attempts to escape the rigors and temptations of the ghetto in a quest for a better life

South Central
A man is put to prison for 10 years. Coming out of prison he wants to live a normal life and stop with crime but his son has yet followed the criminal path of his father.

And now a parody of all of the above movies by the guys who created Scary Movie.
Don't be a menace to south central while drinking your juice in the hood
Or "Don't be a menace"

Some of you guys from the UK have probably heard of a show called 'Misfits'
Misfits is a show about young adults who are in community service each for doing different crimes, on their first day some wierd storm appears and starts chucking huge ice boulders at every OG, the protagonists and the caretaker person run away from the storm, but not before being struck by lightning and being thrown in the air.
They all feel fine at first, despite being hit by lightning, but soon begin to notice strange things happening to them (typical super power movie/show)

Here's a list by order of who sees their powers first.

Kelly - Power to hear thoughts

Simon - Power to turn invisible

Alisha - Power to get men reaallly fucking horny just by touching them

Curtis - Power to rewind time

Nathan - Well, find out yourself

The powers sort of synchronise with their personalities

Kelly - Self conscious chav/ned/trailer trash/whatever
Simon - Lonely, socially awkward nerd
Alisha - Typical English slut
Curtis - Disgraced athlete (was caught with cocaine), basically your typical kind of guy, probably met someone like him loads of times
Nathan - Irish guy who doesn't give a fuck about anyone, isn't hurt by anything people say, funny.

I really recommend watching this show.

Here's some links to watch it.

Might not be viewable to anyone outside of UK, not sure.

Try here if you're outside of UK:

New post? Really?

Probably boredom but I've decided to restart anyway, so here's some stuff for y'all.

How to detect a liar

Find out what you were in your past life (post yours below)

Here's mine:

Your past life diagnosis:

I don't know how you feel about it, but you were male in your last earthly incarnation. You were born somewhere in the territory of modern Mongolia around the year 1425. Your profession was that of a chemist, alchemist or poison manufacturer.

Your brief psychological profile in your past life:
You were a sane, practical person, a materialist with no spiritual consciousness. Your simple wisdom helped the weaker and the poor.

The lesson that your last past life brought to your present incarnation:
You should develop self-love and ability to implant hope into hearts of people. Ambition is not everything. True wealth is buried in your soul.

Well this sounds like the complete opposite of me.

10 Postures that increase performance

A bunch of random personality tests

Fun little game where you guess the name of a movie with only a couple of pictures describing the title or scenes in the movie. You don't have to type in the actual name though, just what it's from, like Indiana Jones = Raiders of the lost ark

Top news stories from multiple newspapers

We've all heard of FML, or maybe even MLIG, but what about MLIC? A creepy story version of the story sharing websites.

That's all for now I'm afraid.

Alter Ego.

A pretty interesting game released in the 1980's and was converted to work on the internet.

The "game" starts off with a nice little screen of a baby in a womb.

And straight afterwards you get your first choices, and yes, even straight away, the wrong choice can impact badly. For example.

Fast-forward to childhood, and here is an example of one of the deaths that can happen if you don't put some thought into it.

Despite the game being from the 80's (thus, A LOT of the pop-culture references being outdated. e.g. Dog collar necks and some strange hairstyles.) it still relates well  to modern life.
It'll probably take an hour or so away from you if you get lost in it, and you should really play it lots of times.

There's even an Ipod app running around with the same name.

I recommend if you start playing this that you turn on some music, it's helps quite a lot with playing it.

Another day, another post.

So I was thinking about the different musical genres and the hate and appraisal they receive.
I really don't see the point in arguing about music, it's usually pointless, you probably won't get either person to be less stubborn, and if you can, then only by a small amount.
What is the point in arguing about something that pleases somebody and doesn't others?
That's what music is anyway, it's just a bunch of noises put together to create something which can or can't please someone.
Let's take this dubstep song for example

Lots of people will dislike it, it's understandable as well, it's wob-wob-wob-ey and won't be for a lot of people, but that is still no reason to hate it, as long as some people like it, then it's worth something, no?

Not sure what my point was here, just wanted to type something about music I guess.

Post some of the genres you LOVE and the genres you HATE.

I'll start.

Drum & Bass
Electronic Rock
And lots more

Jazz ( I know a lot of you will probably disagree.)

That's it I guess.

Here's some songs to send me out.

I'm done.
